Meet the 2023-2024 PTO Executive Board

President: Sarah Davis

My name is Sarah Davis. We have lived in the Kings Community for 11 years now, and absolutely love it!  My husband, Ryan Davis and I have three children.  Cameryn is a 5th grader at Columbia Intermediate School, Tyler is a 3rd grader at KME, and Parker is 3 and is my little side kick until he starts preschool at Kings next year.  Over the last couple years, I have started helping more and more with PTO here at KME.  I started small, by just attending meetings, then helped with a couple committees.  The last 2 years I was the Chairman for Games during the Extravaganza.  I really loved this job and got to know a lot of the PTO members better!  I started this year last year as Secretary, and was the Chairman for Teacher Appreciation. I look forward to serving as president of the board!  Serving on the PTO has helped me get to know so many teachers and parents in my children’s school.  It’s a very rewarding way to volunteer your time.  It makes my kids happy that I am a part of their school…and as most of us, anything that makes our kids happy, makes us happy!

Vice President of Fundraising: Erin Miller

My name is Erin Miller. New to the district, I became involved with the PTO in 2018 when my oldest began kindergarten. This year he will be a 4th grader. I also have a second grade boy, and my baby girl is starting kindergarten. In my first year I simply volunteered as a helper for various events the PTO puts on for students and parents. In my second year I took on the role of Room Parent Coordinator. I have loved getting to know teachers and parents in this position. I continue to chair this position. Chairing a position also allowed me to get to know the executive members of the board and made me feel comfortable in taking my current role as VP of Fundraising. Outside of school you can find my husband, Bryon and I at all of our children’s activities, including, tennis, dance, gymnastics, la crosse, basketball, baseball, and football. This year I have taken on coaching my daughters cheer squad. I am always looking for opportunities to contribute. I am a people person and truly love being involved in the community.

I enjoy being involved with the school and helping making KME a wonderful place for the students and staff. Outside of PTO, I am an equipment development engineer and manager for a medical device company. I am also a Girl Scout troop leader and can be found at a variety of youth sporting events. Communications Secretary: Kristen Macks

My name is Kristen Macks and my husband Ryan and I have two boys at KME. Charlie is in 4th grade and Archie is in 2nd grade. I am happy to serve on the board as Communications Secretary for my second year. I started volunteering when Charlie was in Kindergarten hoping to meet other parents.  I honestly never understood all that the PTO does until I got involved. I was surprised to learn that so many of the fun events like the Color Run, Dance, and Extravaganza were all funded and run by the PTO. The students at KME LOVE these events, so volunteering for them is a rewarding experience and also a really great way to connect with other families. Outside of the PTO, I facilitate social skills groups as a counselor through our private group psychology practice. I also enjoy working with small businesses to create marketing materials and websites. I really love contributing to our KME community and look forward to hopefully meeting you at a PTO event!
